A Journey of Healing and Spiritual Growth
About Marianna Markelova

Welcome to my website. I am a Reiki Master Teacher with over 25 years of experience in energy healing and spiritual development.
My journey began in 1995 in Tallinn, Estonia, inspired by a desire to support my newborn son’s well-being. What started as a personal practice soon evolved into a lifelong calling. Over the years, I’ve worked with clients worldwide and trained under esteemed traditional Reiki masters.
In 2016–2017, I became a certified psychological counselor, blending an integrative approach to emotional and energetic healing. My spiritual journey took me across India and Southeast Asia, where I deepened my understanding of meditation, yoga, and spiritual philosophy.
I am honored to be a Shihan
( Master Teacher) in Komyo ReikiDo tradition, trained by Inamoto Sensei since 2017
His spiritual lineage is the shortest from all living masters - it traces back to Usui Sensei, the founder of modern Reiki as follows:
Mikao Usui (1865-1926)/
Chujiro Hayashi (1879-1940)/
Chiyoko Yamaguchi (1921-2003)/
Hyakuten Inamoto ( 1940 - .
Continuing this lineage after Inamoto Sensei :
Marianna Markelova ( 1962 - .

What is Reiki?
The Healing Energy of Life
Reiki is a Japanese hands-on healing practice introduced to the world by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century.
It is based on channeling universal life energy to restore balance, harmony, and well-being in both body and mind.
A Reiki session involves the transfer of energy from practitioner to recipient through the placement of hands on different parts of the body.
The practitioner enters a meditative state, mentally opening Reiki channel to transmit energy that promotes relaxation, emotional release, and energetic realignment.
Reiki energy can be also transmitted on a distance and not only to humans , but to animals, food, situations, and so on.
Beyond healing, Reiki is a spiritual practice that encourages inner peace, clarity, and harmony with oneself and the world.
What is Komyo ReikiDo?
Komyo ReikiDo is a Japanese Reiki system founded by Inamoto Hyakuten, a Pure Land (Jodo Shu) Buddhist monk, Reiki researcher, and renowned international Reiki Master.
Komyo ReikiDo is a keep-it-simple Reiki system and practice, embracing the Japanese aesthetic of Less is More.
Rooted in Reiki Ryoho as it was originally practiced in Japan, Komyo ReikiDo is a Japanese method grounded in the traditional Reiki mindset (way of thinking).
Its purpose is to strive for the enhancement of mind and body - deep understanding of one’s true nature (Satori) through Reiki Ryoho practice, cultivating a healthy and peaceful life while uplifting our spirituality and being.

The Four Levels of Komyo Reikido
Shoden
First Degree
初 伝 Shoden means "the beginning of the learning". The focus is here on Reiki self-treatments, the relationship between health and happiness, and the method of positioning of hands. Students are introduced to the history of Reiki and the basic principles of Reiki Ryoho. Consideration is given to the concepts of energy, meditation and spirituality. During the training the students receive four Reiju (initiations).
Chuden
Second Degree
中 伝 Chuden means "education at the intermediate level". The focus is on psychological / emotional treatment techniques and practicing Reiki treatments at a distance. Students become aware of the concept of "non-duality" and their connection and influence on the world around them. At this level, the use and practice of three shirushi (symbols) and jumons (mantras) is beaing taught. This will refine one’s own contact with the universal energy and the awareness of it. In additional some special traditional Japanese Reiki techniques will be reviewed. During the Chuden training students receive four Reiju (initiations).
Okuden
Third Degree
奥伝 Okuden means "deeper knowledge" or also "more inside". The focus is on the spiritual practice of Reiki Ryoho. This level is intended for prospective teachers and / or Reiki practitioners who want to deepen their knowledge of Reiki Ryoho and further develop their inner growth. Students explore the spiritual teachings of Reiki Ryoho and continue on the path of "Anshin Ritsumei" (inner peace) and "Satori" (enlightenment). The fourth and last shirushi (symbol) is being taught along with instructions on its use and its meaning. During the Okuden training students receive two Reiju.
Shinpiden
Master Teacher Level
神秘伝 Shinpiden, means 'mysterious teachings'. The goal of Shinpiden is to become a Reiki Ryoho teacher and share the path of Reiki. As soon as the training at the fourth level is completed, the student can teach all four grades and give the Reiju (initiation) at all levels.
At its core, Komyo ReikiDo teaches that Reiki is not just a healing practice - it is a way of life focused on spiritual awakening and achieving harmony within oneself.
